I’ve no doubt you did. But five dlcs announced straight away like that on day one? I hate to be a complainer but it feels like that’s content that you are saving to sell later or, alternatively, content you are keeping for later so that you can make the deadline. I apologize if I might sound confrontational, I dont mean to be, but I’m a bit peeved off by this. I bougth the platinum edition expecting to get the full game. I’ve of course no complaint with the long time backers getting special content, that’s only right, but the dlc coming a few months after the release doesn’t sit well with me in all onesty.

Hmm, I’m pretty sure I backed this before the March cut-off date, but I can’t find that info anywhere. I just know I have Snapshot Forum update emails from February, and I didn’t come here until after I kicked it, so I’m assuming I’ll be getting the DLC for free, as Julian mentioned in his video after deciding to go to The Epic Store?
Also, Dec 3 release date, WOO HOO! Can’t wait!
We’ve had 2 years or more of people (developers and community members) coming up with ideas for extra things which we would never have time to put into the base game. We’ve been thinking all this time about which of these ideas would make good future DLC.
We’ve known we wanted to have a season pass and we wanted to make sure we could let people know how many DLC would be included. None of this DLC has been made yet. We’re working 100% on the base game.

I honestly find this hard to believe. It’s only ‘ideas’ but you have it already scheduled to come out in a few months? Really now. I understand you’re doing PR and all, but it’s feeling like a rip off. I find it incredibly hard to believe. I preordered (which is something I do extremely rarely) because I thought it was a cool project and I would get the full game and now it doesn’t feel at all like I’m going to. This sounds more like messing about to me. Had I known this was the kind of stuff happening I wouldn’t have put up 60 euro. Could you advise me please on having the game refunded?
They have been announced long time ago as content coming after release. As new ideas were coming to mind and quite many fine suggestions were proposed on this forum (and maybe on Discord) game span has grown since first planned development. There was also case with reaching additional steatch goals which should be also released as DLC (but probably for free).
If I buy it from the epic store now, does it include early access?

Well they’re not “for free” it looks like. The way i see it is that they’re giving me (“us”) less of what I paid for. This stuff reallly doesn’t sit well with me.
You don’t have to. Refund him! But I’m not sure if you really have followed this forum to be able to judge real state of things.
Sadly, I will have to wait until the release, so the game site is more expensive, much more expensive the version with early access. 
I didn’t follow much this forum because I didn’t preorder to play the backer build but to support a smaller outfit that was making a game I’m very much interested on. But the feeling here is that I’m being taken advantage on. It’s not the extra thirthy euro, the way I see it a few pints a friday night cost me much more than that, but the feeling of being swindled.
Will there be a way to download/play without using the Epic Store?
Who knows maybe you are right. But I have seen here so many new ideas it would be enough for a sequel and maybe even prequel. 5 DLCs if not too much I guess. I would need to see what is the content of these DLCs to judge if something is wrong.

I see your point. You maybe right, we shall see. Sure is that this shenanigans are ruining it for me. It’s not the case that they’re waiting to see if they’re making enough dough and THEN add dlcs because it’s worth it. Maybe I’m getting it wrong of course and surely I’m not going to start one of those horrendous internet campaigns against them, but it doesn’t feel right so in these cases I rather cut the losses.
You also can’t have 60 developers sitting around for months playing solitaire while waiting to see how well the game sells. Once we release, we will have teams working on any bug fixing, tweaks and QoL improvements while other teams work on content for the new DLCs. This is extremely important for the large art team, who at this stage of development are mostly done with the base game.
I bougth a Phoenix point luxury digital edition in 12/30/2017. I don´t know what edition isa that now.

No, instead you have them work and you sell only parcel of what they have done and then sell the rest as DLCs…
