Phoenix Point Patch 1.0.54713 - December 16th, 2019

I hope you didn’t think I was serious. Corse it’s a biggie. A massive nuclear bomb type biggie.

They really could have done with this patch being perfect. Now people are going to jump on it like it was prey. There is very little tolerance in the gaming world.

Forgiveness? It’s not that they do this for free. We paid for a game which is full of bugs since release. And with the 1st major patch they bring back a feature from the beta: Endless Rounds.
This and other bugs are in the game since the BB (endless round, roof bug, endless loading screen). So Right now they just should do their job and fix all of this.

Prime example of using the customer to play test the game. Patch should have been tested not just in house before release.

It seems that waiting for the first patch to try the game was not the best idea after all xD

Well, guess I’ll come back in a month or so.

Hi, u need to reinstall game and then it works, sucks I know but better than waiting till they repair it.

I’ve yet to experience any problems with the new patch. No hiccups, no infinite looping turn, nothing apart from even longer loading times - which, by the way, are getting out of hand. Not kewl!

But the developers should say something regarding these problems so many players are facing. A game that can’t be played, and nothing being said about it, is a very bad situation

I have stopped playing, now demoralised: game crashes after Alien Turn, attempted 5 times now on same level, so now given up. Please fix.

If that works I’ll certainly try it. Haven’t even tried verifying since I assumed the problem was related to the patch. Have anyone else managed to get the problem to disappear with a reinstall?

Edit: Will save games remain when the game is unistalled?

You mean go back to before the patch?

Must be some file left over that is causing the problem. Why won’t they tell us what file so that we can delete that rather than a re-install?

This is getting to be a bit of a bugger were they stay quiet, leaving us to it and won’t help.

This one could be a downgrade to make room for an upgrade perk in the future.

Presumably, they need to identify which file it is. Would possibly help if people send in their gamelogs or whatever.

I have a feeling this is a old school fallout situation… Put the game down for a month or two and wait for the early patch cycles to finish. At least steam sales are ramping up. Grab something to distract for a bit. Galaxy squad is on sale for like a dollar. It’s low budget, but it is tbt. Vigilantes is a great tbt game, with a great and friendly dev who deserves encouragement. Kinda modern day xcom with a film noir flavor.

Great minds. I was trying to get into Battletech but there are no tactics to speak off. It’s all down to shooting each other in the bum. Not very interesting.
I think I’ll try Hard west or Low magic age. No point in playing PP until we know more about what’s going on.

After playing a bit more I have to say it is not all that bad afterall. Daze seems to work more often than not so far and shotguns can shoot either the arm or the weapon. Additionally priests for panic help quite a bit.

I still think it should use the AP system.

What I’m still a little bit disappointed in is that there are more (relevant) bugfixes on nexus mods than in this patch.

I verified my files and so far haven’t encountered the endless loop again, can’t say for sure I haven’t simply been lucky but perhaps worth a shot since it’s a lot faster than a new install.

Lol. When I read all of those complaints I really wonder if my copy will have any of these problems. Still didn’t had a chance to try the game after patch. Can more people confirm if verifying installation fixes issues?

I am getting increasingly miffed with the developers silence. Not a word on this new endless loop bug. Not a word if reinstalling or verifying does fix it, and if it does, why does it. Not a word on what they are planning to do about it. Not a word.

I know they are probably working hard on patches, but bloody hell, how much effort does it take to post a update on the situation.
At the moment I don’t know if to keep on playing, start a new game (again). Hang the game up for next Christmas or just throw it in the bin.

If bug doesn’t show on fixed and verified version they don’t see the issue. If not them, then who would have all correct files? Maybe they are scratching their heads what are those players reporting? :slightly_smiling_face:

Well at the moment I bet there are many players scratching their heads wondering why their game doesn’t work.
Let’s face it. If you have to verify, or as some have done (me too) re-installed the game. Then it is down to the patch, and it’s not going to work if we all have to go through this rigmarole after every patch.
They are suppose to be professional developers.

Hard west is a fantastic game, as well. I picked up that and hand of fate a long time ago, and never regretted either!
