I did set up ignore function specifically for you. More precisely I increased your membership level so you have access to the ignore function. Click on your profile in the top right. Go to preferences → notifications → Users. There you can add users to your ignore list. It is the same place as MadSkunky posted screenshots at the beginning of the thread you just did not have that option due to low level.
I just tested it on a new account that I created. If you put other users on this ignore list you will not see their posts but just “ignored content” or hidden reply instead. If you click on the hidden reply button, it will show you the post though so do not click on that.
