During loading I sometimes get a message about confilcting storage (cloud/local)
and it looks like I chose the wrong one (local) this time and have lost a weeks worth of saved games. Is there any way to recover them?
1- Maybe your game is outdated. I had this message a lot and since the big patch released 1 or 2 weeks ago. Never got it again after the patch.
2- Maybe you had not lost any progress at all. The game used to store save files in 2 different places that sometimes caused confilict. There was one time that I chose the cloud one (newer timestamp) and “lost” my progress. Quited the game with alt+F4 and launched again. There was the same message about conficting saves again, took the local one, my save was there, and I was able to resume my game.
Thanks. I assumed the patches updated automatically?
I had the same thing but I made the mistake of chosing ‘older’, which was local. I tried restarting but it was the same but with no choice offered. I have no idea where the save are, either locally or in the cloud and not sure if you can actually navigate to the cloud location.
I think I have recovered some of the lost progress now and will continue.
Thanks for your reply
If your Epic client is online, I guess it should.
