Are you sure he is doing psychoanalysis? He just understands why some use some phrases and arguments and he explains why these can be biased.
Yes it is really annoying to talk with someone who knows all of that, as he is probably also mapping your behaviours and provide accurate coutners. 
You need to abandon all emotions and focus on what arguments you want to use. Annoying, but what can we do?
