That’s a reasonable argument but I don’t think it will be enough because why would people switch if they can get the same games and service from steam?
I already awnsered this same question in a previous response btw. There’s no point in going around in circles and repeating the same thing over and over again. It adds nothing of value.
Anti-Epic Store sentiments are riding high as they keep splashing megabucks on securing scloosies, and this was inevitable: someone with a little knowledge, enough to be dangerous, jumping to conspiratorial (and tbh kinda racist) conclusions.
Then amateur analysis was taken as fact and stripped of context and passed around the cybernet, prompting Epic to respond and try to clear it up.
(…)
As much as I might like to see Epic’s exclusives not be exclusive (which tbh isn’t a MASSIVE amount because I have a half-dozen clients installed anyway), let’s not go instantly buying into conspiracy theories just because they justify our dislikes, yeah?
Good Lord, so calling out the Chinese, universally known as some of the most prolific and skilled hackers in the world, is somehow “racist”? The buffoons at RPS would make great Snapshot PR shills, as their grasp on reality is weak and their ability to sling bullshit is spectacular.
Please try to keep up, there’s no need for me to awser this question because again, there’s no point in repeating the same argument over and over again…
Seems like you like conspiracy theories as well, with everyone being Snapshot shill. It’s probably all that Epic money being spent on buying off selected customers and press:-).
As a side note, I mostly posted this link not because of content per say but as, in spite the original post suggestion, no serious reputation loss seem to be happening. Of course, I am speaking from a purely subjective perspective, keeping an eye on sources that I, personally, consider trustworthy, and believe to have a wider, serious reach. Oddly enough the ones which usually discuss controversies (so not RPS) have been silent on the subject so far.
So probably it will be around 10% to 15% of backers who will ask for a refund. Quite big chunk. I wonder how many will return after a year. Because well, actually this is the game they anticipated.
