Arkadaşlar. Windows 10 ile deneme başarılı oldu. Klavye dilini, Bölge > Biçimler’in altındaki Biçim Menüsünü kısaca Türkçe geçen herşeyi ingilizce(amerikan) yapmam ve 2015 c++ kaldırdım. Oyun aktif.

I already tried to change the language and update teh c++ i already have the 2019, i probably tried everything on the book by now

Anyone have any more ideas to try to fixe the game ??

Yeah Especially UFO Defence and Terror from deep (((:

Thanks for this comment! I downloaded the “Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019” redistributable and it fixed the black screen on startup (not sure as a new user I can post links). Just writing this comment to provide feedback for other people having the same situation.

I presume I encountered this issue because I had just performed a fresh install of windows the day before yesterday and so hadn’t encountered any games which required this redist as of yet. I can confirm that regional language and date/time settings do not need to be in English (US).

why that don’t work for me …

My system was a freshly-installed Win10 64 bit and the only other game I’ve played on it was “They are Billions”. This game requires the installation of SlimDX which covers a lot of other non-unity specific (i.e. windows-only) APIs. It could be that between VS C++ redist and SlimDX my bases were all covered for this game? It’s possible I have some .net stuff installed that I don’t remember/didn’t see… But Mono should cover this stuff across platforms within the unity framework so maybe not.

Renji, I was looking back through the thread and saw you downloaded only the 2015 redist. Did you download the compilation one? Their file sizes are different… The (1) is the 2015 RC3 and the other is the one in the link I gave above.

For example, installing the Visual C++ 2019 redistributable will affect programs built with Visual C++ 2015 and 2017 also. However, installing the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable will not replace the newer versions of the files installed by the Visual C++ 2017 and 2019 redistributables.

If you have the last one it’s ok , but i already unistall all and install till 2015 and doesn’t work.

I think you misunderstand what the quotable part is speaking about - the 2019 distributable affects the 2017 and 2015 ones. If you just installed 2015 then it is not the same version. So when you said “why it works for you and not me”, this could be one of the reasons since the 2015 RC3 doesn’t have all of the same files.

IMO, it’s worth a try for you… at basically no cost in time or effort. But it’s your decision.

Look, the 2015 RC3 doesn’t even require windows 10…

I think it might help to make sure your .net framework is all up to date as well. My own PC has only the .net 4.0 Jan 2012 and the C++ 2015-2019 redist:

As I said in another thread, this seems to have me covered for the specific problem I was experiencing - perhaps if you have a newer (or older) .NET and/or C++ redist then you may not fix the problem.

I already tried that way, doesn’t work for me

Okay, fair enough. It wasn’t clear that you had done that since you said the opposite.

i tried everything on the book by now, i think isn’t a thing that i can’t resolve

“The book” said update to VC 2015 RC3 via the link from the moderator but the logic is to upgrade to the latest VC redist based on the 2019 redist which retroactively applies to the 2015 and 2017 versions.

I already tried both like i said, doesn’t work for me becausemy blackscreen i can skip hitting Esc key, and i can start a game or load but i can’t see the cutscenes in game everytime that is a cutscene in game i have a blackscreen that i need to hit Esc tio skip it, and more, when i quit the game to windows the game will crash and stop working, then if i try to start again it doesn’t start i need to go to Epic Games and Verify then i can start again with the same blackscreen problem and quitting problem.

You “said” you tried updating the 2015 C++ redist and the region settings. Nothing else. Yes, you can get into the game through esq from the blackscreen but that doesn’t mean you have no incompatibilities. Did you check your .net installation like I suggested?
