Saved games location?

Greetings,

Is there a way to transfer the saved games from one PC to another?

Of course, just copy the save files to another PC.

C:\Users\ username \AppData\LocalLow\Snapshot Games Inc\Phoenix Point\EGS\LocalData

The EGS folder is the new for final release, the BB save files are directly in folder .\Phoenix Point\ stored.

It seems that directory depends on how we start the game, with or without the launcher it creates 2 different directories with 2 sets of savegame

crazy!

So, what is the other path?

I don’t understand why they still use the appdata folder path and not
C:\Users\username\Documents\my games\ or something within its own game directory.

BTW: This is Windows 10, not sure for Win7 folders, they should be the same.

the game saves you games in 2 locations depending on how you launch it

  1. If you launch via the Epic launcher its under

C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Snapshot Games Inc\Phoenix Point\EGS<rando numbers>

  1. If you launch it DRM free via the executable directly they are under

C:\Users\TOKUGAWA\AppData\LocalLow\Snapshot Games Inc\Phoenix Point\EGS\LocalData

Also ‘technically’ according to Microsoft appdata is where you’re supposed to put that kind of data. My Documents is ONLY for user created stuff in theory and is not supposed to be a dumping ground for random stuff from programs. Thus according ot MS documents

  1. My Documents i sonly to be used if the user explicitly saves to that folder
  2. appdata is for application specific data

That functionally has not been the case, but if you’re following MS documentation, save games shouldn’t be in My Documents

It worked perfectly ^^

Thank you all for your replies.

Just adding on to this thread in case anybody else runs into the same problems I did. They released a patch this morning that seems to have changed the save location. Launching from outside the epic launcher (I’m using Steam) now looks in the EGS<rando numbers> directory instead of EGS\LocalData, so when you launch the game your saves may appear to be gone.

I copied the files from EGS\LocalData to EGS<random numbers> then went into the Epic launcher hit the menu item o cloud sync them (so they don’t get wiped out next time it syncs). Epic prompted me and I said to add the “new” files to the cloud saves. Loaded up phoenix point and my save is back.

I installed Phoenix Point Year One via Steam. The Save Game location is not the one you list.

Its:
C:\Users\Edward\AppData\LocalLow\Snapshot Games Inc\Phoenix Point\Steam[long number]

EGS is not Steam, that’s why.
