I also did some exploring, went to every ? on the map. But now the world is covered in red mist and since there is no way to get rid of it I’m at endgame right now. Haven’t found any queens to kill yet.
you have to let the nest grow: from what I’ve heard from the Unstable Voltage’s videos (just search the PP Media section, there is a thread with all the videos) you have small nest that spawn, and they have a violet area of operations. This area of operations grows with the nest, and when three small nest get big enough and are all three in each others area of operation, two small nests will migrate to one that gets bigger and advance to the next level. This lvl 2 nest should spawn a Queen.
