Game difficulty is too easy

Nah man, 100% stealth is undetectable auto-win. Only mist can reveal it and that is easy to avoid. I’ve heard the Chirons can blast you, but I’ve not experienced it.

Even taking away Rage Burst, Synedrion has the two strongest strats in the game. 1) 100% stealth auto-win, or 2) 8 snipers using athenas that paralyze anything and everything as soon as they reveal it.

I’m just saying, Synedrion is the MOST busted of the three factions. xD

Alright, having read through the thread I have to agree with most points being made. That said, I wouldn’t want to remove rage burst from the game, it’s one of the most fun skills. But why not change it to 3 rounds instead of a full mag? That would be enough to take down most enemies, but not a damn Scylla.

Also limit it to burst capable weapons, sorry snipers.

EDIT: Actually, perhaps the skill could be kept as is with a full mag burst but with a heavily increased cost? And still only with burst weapons. 15WP?

Rage Burst should apply only to fully automatic weaponry, and it should also carry an accuracy penalty (to simulate recoil).

I wonder why devs didn’t make anything with those exploits two months prior to release. I mean, it’s nothing new. This also makes me think, are they going to do this at all? Any patch news? Some response?

I think they havent had any time to create skills thoroughly and we are just looking at ‘placeholders’ skills. Quick draw, return fire, rally the troops, rage burst, all skills are plain and easy to create. No extra animations or lots of coding. Not even cooldowns

Same with research and base buildings. For example the training facility: Just give +2ap to all. Easiest coding. Next.

I think we get a totally different game in 12 months or so. Current game makes no sense in too many ways

This was something I really didn’t get on my earlier play throughs. The game is insanely flexible in how you combine the various perks. It provides a massive variety of ways to skin the cat. Some work, some don’t and it is confusing, particularly so for those who’ve been used to the Firaxis XCom reboots.

The only gripe I have is that by making some dodgy choices you’re sometimes forced to go all the way back to the start of the game because, all of a sudden, what was working just fine, looks as useful as a chocolate teapot.

But at least it’s not too difficult to get squaddies worked through the character classes to a point where they do real damage.

It might be nice to be able to reclass or change perks at the cost of XP or putting your character out of the game for several days while being retrained?

A lot of these problems could be fixed by offering replacement troops for cheaper. Our soldiers are so damn valuable because of how much they cost that losing one, or speccing one in a way that doesn’t work, is devastating to your progress.
