It is confirmed by others, that this bug is still in Danforth.
I was hoping that this FOW problem was sorted oh well that’s 1 mission type that I still only play once for the research then I leave them alone till they become lairs.
if the game developers want to keep that useless FOW for nest then I am sticking to that strategy.
I don’t even know how many soldiers I’ve lost in a nest just because that damn FOW isn’t working.
Rotating the map in nests can remove the “fow”. But rotating it back, brings it back.
yes i know but that’s the screen view, the dangers is the fact the a hostile unit within 5 tiles or in LOS is not revealed.
Yes, still there, and still a PITA.
Bump. Devs please look at this major bug. Nest missions are pretty unplayable
I know this isn’t a solution - but if you have a Technician who can throw a turret - when the turret lands it removes a lot of the fog.
But I do hope they get the fog issue resolved.
It makes nests very frustrating.
Other solution is to rotate camera. Then it switches off fog if soldier has proper line of sight.
It’s shocking this bug is still in the game.
As was pointed out earlier, this does not reveal fogged enemies.

You see the improvements they are making and then you see they STILL haven’t fixed this yet. Just makes the game look like amateur hour.
Has this now been fixed?
No, still present when dashing in nests in Polaris
yes i confirm i am facing the same issue even with 1.9 update, some nest areas remain dark even when i send a soldier in the middle of them
Guess I won’t bother playing again then
I actually just loaded a nest mission where this is “fixed” - because there is NO fog of war
Well I play it still, but sometimes is crazy
Vote it up!

Interesting. Does this happen on any specific map which I can’t get selected? I don’t have this issue. Maybe I roll maps without this issue all the time. I just rotate camera and everything is fixed. Never had the situation where I have dark corridor when my soldier can look into it. Or maybe this is because of graphics settings? I play on Very High settings on desktop, and Ultra on laptop with all ticks selected.
