I’m just happy that I have gotten the privileged to get in with the Backers Build when it was first announced.
So when BB5 does go live then it goes live…no complaints here. The Dev team has done a great job so far on the last builds so if they are not ready to release 5 then so be it.
Some people in this thread seriously need to chill. It will be ready when it’s ready and no amount of moaning on here is gonna make the update start on EGS so best just come to terms with that now.
Since everyone here is either sucking off SS games or demanding something for free, I should say something, too. I would have no qualms about BB5 being delayed or even canceled, but if you put the fucking timer, act accordingly. No one asked for timer, you put it yourselves. I can understand few minutes, the world won’t end, but few hours? Screw that. Not because I’ll die without the game for a few hours, but because I already organised my time around it, and more importantly, it’s so unprofessional. If my project is late more than an hour, I don’t get paid, or get paid less, for it. And my projects are also modeling, rigging, animation and/or programming. I know how hard this stuff is, but you are disregarding your own rules.
As for “you need to chill” comments, screw that noise. I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed.
It just shows how bad you want to have that single pre-alpha update. There is something to smile upon. Maybe counter was unprofessional, but they do what they can so the game would be top notch. Just 3 months of waiting.
i think this is outrageous delaying the backer build like this ive paid for it and i want it now, and as compensation i want the mortgage on my house paying off and £20.000 pounds a month so i do t have to work again and can just sit around with my finger up my arse and complain about stuff. thanks
I know they do, Yokes, and I respect them for it, but if your hands are not tied and you make your own schedule, you have no excuse for breaking it. Putting the counter in the first place is only thing I blame them for.
And I am also very weary and annoyed from comments.
We agree with you. Looking back, the time was a mistake. Our backer builds (every single one of them) have always been a little late because we use every last minute we have to work on them.
I’ve been with Snapshot for every single Backer Build launch and it has always been primarily myself that has to deal with the fallout. Every complaint, email, facebook comment - every single question. For that reason, my preference is not to give an exact time.
However, we wanted to pick a time when the build would go live to give people an idea of when it should be expected. We regret that a number of last-minute issues have cropped up that we couldn’t predict, and that’s led to this situation. It sucks. It sucks for us and it sucks for you guys.
So, I sincerely apologise for the late delivery of Backer Build 5. But please remember, we always deliver in the end. Before long, you’ll get your hands on it, and you will know it has been worth the wait.
Yeah, stuff breaking last minute is my bread and butter. I’m genuinely surprised if they don’t. I also feel bad for all the, and I have no better word for it (shitstorm would fit, but let’s keep it tight), fallout you have to deal with. I know it’s not your fault.
However, this is someones fault, you can call the guy who keeps the website, or whoever put the counter in the first place, and told him to add a few hours. Since BBs are late every time, SS had a time to adjust to it.
Let me put it in perspective, in few hours it will take to upload, I can actually reach Sofia via car, and play it there.
I’m gonna go do something else now, and wait until things calm down a bit.
