Now that we’ve got an aircraft tab, it seems like adding a gear inventory to aircraft wouldn’t be that much work. Then, in addition to troops, aircraft could store the extra gear they need for missions: ammo, grenades, alternative kit, medkits, etc. It would really create a more realistic experience to have to prepare for your days-long patrols, and to not be able to hot swap all over the planet.
I suspect that this is the kind of thing that they won’t do because it’s too hard on the casual player. It would be nice to have the option, though.
