We need to talk about animations (Ancient sites)

Please, for the love of all that is holy can you… speed… up… the… animations… of… the… ancients… when… you… are… clearing… up… the… sites… so… that… you… can… extract… the… materials…

It’s just taken me over 70 minutes to clear up a Orichalcum mine and about 30 minutes of that was watching all 10 of the hoplites cycle through a good 30-40 seconds of animations to take their turn. I know they look pretty and I know that the animators works long and hard on them, but after watching every… single… one… of… them… I… was… ready… to… nuke… my… own… guys…

I don’t mean to sound ungrateful but holy god. Some of us have limited gaming time and this game is starting to drag in the latter stages given everything going on at the strategic geoscape. Having to sit around waiting for 10 different enemies cycle through identical animations is not good design!

Hahahaha… it’s so right. Most of time that guardians are thinking verrrryyyy slowly what to do. I turn, I turn again, lets go for one step… I need to turn more… Oooo an enemy… biiiiiuuuuvvvvvv… turn a bit more and wait for another 5 of them to do the same.

This game got so many “looks cool on paper and when you see first time but after 1 hour you wanna puke and it makes game play 4x slower” things…

Skill animations, evac missions, did i ever mention that I hate evac missions?..

One of the most wanted mod of xcom 2 was deleting all the skill animations. Quick shot is longest shot in the game :)…

Missions… lairs… ruuuuun to building… nuuukeee the building… ruuuuunn back from building… and kill 3 enemy on the way because this is the thing you should do in this game…
