Patch: Nerf on Assault rifle ?!

I’m so much in minority that it’s pointless to argue. Still do it because I don’t see what I do wrong to not feel AR that bad. And ok for the beauty or pure arguing.

First points why so much complain on AR when in my opinion many weapons have much less use case:

• Flamethrower.
• Close Range.
• Virus AR and SR.
• First two PWD.
• Pistols (at least they don’t have more use cases).

I have huge doubt that it’s better ignore armor and shoot blindly, instead of bothering with armor and then shoot.

• Armor Break.
• Grenades and Grenade Launcher.
• Weak Spot.
• Armor Shredding.
• Acid worth a deeper check since last patch.
• And I don’t mention the various Combo around Armor Break including AR+Armor Break at some range.

For PWD arguing I’ll copy paste from another post, sorry but it’s very pertinent in this thread:

• Personal skill is quite less good than AR Personal skill which also adds aiming bonus. A good example is Wreckless+Trooper combo is +50% damages and no aiming penalty. Wreckless+Trooper+Cautious is +40% damages and +20% Aiming. No way you can do that with PWD.
• PWD tend have lower precision, the cause is probably lower range, and Trooper skill.
• PWD is Technician class which is a lot more specialized and push to high will usage, use mainly turrets, and be a major support soldier that tend fire less. At reverse Assault is a much more versatile class bringing a lot more skills working with synergy with other classes.
• When use an AR or a PWD is no way a basic constant decision, it’s not even a team decision dual choice, it’s soldier and squad building depending of many factors.

At end I don’t understand all the fuss around AR, I’m so much in minority that there need to be a big cause, I don’t see it.

EDIT: Or psychological, AR wasn’t looking as a dominant weapon type and for sure they wasn’t, and one AR get nerfed, ok but one quite powerful.
