Looking for Advice on Phoenix Point Mid-Game Progression

Hello everyone,

I’ve been playing Phoenix Point for the past few weeks and absolutely loving the strategic depth and tactical challenges. However, I’ve hit a bit of a wall during the mid-game and could really use some guidance to improve my progression.

Here’s where I’m currently at:

  1. Geoscape Management: I’ve explored a fair chunk of the map, but I feel stretched thin trying to balance exploration, base management, and responding to enemy attacks. How do you prioritize between scouting new areas, defending havens, and upgrading bases?
  2. Resource Management: I’m running low on materials and food, and manufacturing equipment feels painfully slow. What are some reliable ways to boost resource income and optimize production?
  3. Squad Composition: My current team consists of Assaults, Snipers, and a couple of Heavies, but I’m finding it challenging to deal with enemy Sirens and other tough enemies. Are there specific classes, weapons, or tactics you recommend for handling mid-to-late game Pandoran threats?
  4. Diplomacy: I’ve tried to stay on good terms with all the factions, but their conflicts are escalating, and I feel like I need to pick a side soon. Is there an optimal faction to align with for mid-game benefits, or should I try to remain neutral?

I also checked this: https://forums.snapshotgames.com/t/phoenix-point-game-pass-version-stuck-at-processing/

Any tips, strategies, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! I’m trying to avoid hitting a dead end and would love to hear how other players manage to maintain momentum through this stage of the game.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello,
You are really diving deep into Phoenix Point! Here are some tips and strategies to help you navigate the mid-game challenges:
Geoscape Management
Balancing exploration, base management, and defending havens can be tricky. Here are some priorities:

Scouting New Areas: Focus on uncovering new bases and resource sites. This will help you expand your reach and gather more resources.

Defending Havens: Prioritize defending havens that are crucial for your alliances and resource income. Use your aircraft strategically to cover multiple areas.

Upgrading Bases: Invest in essential upgrades like Living Quarters, Training Centers, and Medical Bays. These will help keep your soldiers in top shape and ready for action.

Resource Management
Boosting resource income and optimizing production is key:

Trade with Havens: Trade food for materials and tech with havens. Food production can be a reliable source of income.

Scavenge Missions: While they can progress the game quickly, they are a good source of resources. Balance them with other missions.

Raiding Factions: If you’re willing to take a hit in diplomacy, raiding faction havens for resources can be very lucrative.

Build Food Production Facilities: These can generate a steady income when you trade excess food.

Squad Composition
Handling tough enemies like Sirens requires a well-rounded team:

Class Combinations: Consider multi-classing to create versatile soldiers. For example, Assault/Sniper or Heavy/Sniper combinations can be very effective.

Specialized Roles: Have dedicated roles like close-quarters damage dealers, snipers for long-range support, and heavies for artillery support.

Equipment: Equip your soldiers with armor-piercing weapons and grenades to deal with heavily armored enemies.

Diplomacy
Choosing the right faction to align with can provide significant benefits:

New Jericho: Offers powerful military technology and armor-piercing weapons.

Synedrion: Provides advanced stealth and environmental control technologies.

Disciples of Anu: Focuses on biological enhancements and powerful melee units.

It’s often beneficial to align with a faction that complements your playstyle and current needs. However, staying neutral can also be a viable strategy if you want to keep your options open.

Best Regard,
Nathan
