Give Rapid Clearance diminishing returns

Of course, there is not fun in that,

but Citadels after mid game without Acid Chirons is not a challenge, I have to tell that

Well, I have had post-mid-game Citadels with twin Acid Chrions … also some with 4 Sirens … it’s all in the luck of the draw or the roll of the dice. Though, I have been doing nothing, at the moment, but haven defense and Citadels with the occasional Lair, if the haven defenders kill the Scylla.

While most the Citadels weren’t too difficult, there have been a handful that got pretty dicey.

For your peace of mind, I don’t use RC for almost all my builds, just to be clear. Not necessary. There are better and more interesting ways to combine.

better buids without RC.
Infiltrator / Sniper
or Havy / Sniper
Havy / Berserker
Technique / Assault (Turret build) no RC needed!

tested:
Priest / Assault is simply insane. So much fun, only here RC makes sense. If you mean that. Whatever.

Yea, and curbing the excesses of RC isn’t going to affect any of that.

One of the beauties of PP is the infinite number of ways you can skin a cat.

One of the problems of PP is the infinite number of cats you can skin

That’s true, but I’m not the only one and I don’t want to impose my opinion but there are enough builds where it’s just fun and we will have one option less to combine. That’ s all. Nothing bad.

We must not forget one thing: Just because certain skills are restricted to exploits does not mean that they will no longer be useful! In addition, in the next update the Panda Evolution will take place “in a controlled manner”, which will hopefully cause less frustration for the beginners.

Like Fox Mulder said:“I want to believe”

May I add something else. I’m the last person to argue. Everyone should play his game the way he likes. Remember that with every restriction some freedom is taken. Sure, it has to be in the context of what you said, not so easy to implement for everyone. I’m really excited about how the game will progress. Give up the freedom to combine or introduce standards like in any XCOM games, no selection rules and that’ it.

Have a nice day to you all

So long as there are skills that break the game, difficulty levels are meaningless. This game advertised itself in every incarnation as challenging and in the XCOM vein. A game is not challenging when the player has to play with both hands tied behind their backs to have an illusion of challenge. I can only applaud the devs’ willingness to rein in the blatant overpoweredness of the players.

If you don’t know the game “The Secret World”, a beautiful MMORPG, masterpiece from the Norwegian game company Funcom, like this game here, the story and fate briefly summarized, players have constantly complained that the game was too simple, the developers listened to the players and released a new area Tokyo with such high demands that the majority of players were overwhelmed and moved on. Funcom was on the verge of collapse and have re-implemented the game as “The Secret World Legend” without the bullshit that was demanded by most. I’m afraid that PP will suffer the same fate as Funcom did back then. Please be careful what you wish for!

All Around, is a Genre and Community - XCom (1994 + 2012)

And right now, the game suffers from only catering to you, not to people like me. If you - someone that doesn’t care for challenge and views any kind of limitation as infringing on his oh-so-sacred-player-rights - is their audience, then this game is doomed to fail because already its reception has been mixed at best, with most magazines and sites writing it off as a mediocre attempt to ride nuXCOM’s coattails while failing to satisfy the hype of its beginning. The numbers of youtubers that to this day stream campaigns of nuXCOM 2 and even the XCOM of the 90ies outweigh those of PP by an embarassing degree.

Very popular in my country game magazine that I regularly read, set PP as not recommended to play. Cause in December game was awful. And noone care, what changes after release.

PP still has a silver bullet: and that’s the steam release including the reviews on it.

Yes, there was already a comparison in another thread. The fact is: I would not watch a stream/video where the superskills repeatedly lead all tactics to absurdity, where there is no tension and instead the opponents are cleaned up with AP recycling or multi shoots from the starting position. No exchange of blows, no drama. And yes: PP “can” shine in a completely different light. But the really successful streamers, who in most cases are very good players and mostly play on Legend, will use the most effective method of destruction.

They will not tell their viewers that they are playing behind the back with bandaged hands.

They won’t say: Oh, I think skills A, B, C, D and X are “OP” so I don’t use them because of the quality of the gameplay

“Modding & Moders + Community” and this is the first and final valid “All In” bet.

New people who are not afraid to change and create, who love the game and help it Shine. :sparkling_heart:

I personally don’t put as much hope in it. Initially, PP is still under development, which is bad for modding. Then there has been no Statemant for support lately. And even if it happens, it will be very late (as @Yokes already guessed: mid 2021). Until then, another player may come onto the TBS market and the community will not be able to get big enough.
I think the Devs have to do it themselves with courage and a clear vision of what the game should be.

I don’t think devs has " clear vision of what the game should be".

Of course Yes, in compliance with the Plan(5 dlc in 2020) for the release of the DLC and the elimination of bugs and corrections.
Everything else needs to be transferred to Modding + Community.
This will give Energy for the fading interest around the game (Devs & Community) and save resources (which are scarce), and most importantly Time (Everyone is tired of Waiting for a long time).
