Anyway I got a job, home office style and married already, I play games, I check internet… so a day is long enough for everything!

I’m trying to find the cause of the crashes so I can give the game another playthrough. At the moment I am mainly going from my experience from months ago and many thing might have changed.
Two things I will be trying today are make exceptions for the .exe and change my GPU power cables. I thought theses crashes might have been the fault of the game but so far only one other person is having the same problem.
Dude, he’s trolling a game he has already stated that he/she/it doesn’t even play. 
I wish the moderators would boot him, for being disruptive in his negativity.
I don’t think that’s going to happen. All I have done is give my opinion and not attacked or insulted anyone unless they attacked or insulted me.
This reminds me of the pitchfork mob, nobody is listening anymore, discussion has ended and now it’s all about wanting blood.
I have already told you I am trying to give it another go to see if my opinion changes, but no, you don’t want my opinion to change, your having to much fun slagging me off.
I really like this game now. The difference from last December is huge!
I’m wondering about your hard drive, sometimes a bad area on it can cause errors and crashes. If it’s a mechanical drive, they can cause intermittent errors. SSDs tend to be quite reliable. How old is the drive and have you checked it for errors? Obviously checking integrity of files is probably very essential. At the moment PP is very stable so it shouldn’t be crashing.
As a tip, negatively criticising a game on the actual games forums is quite likely to get you a few harsh comments coming back at you.
I know it appears hard, but the difficulty level balancing of this game in my opinion is about right. It’s taken quite a few iterations to get here. What makes this game unique for me is that one can’t simply do research to increase weapons and armour to make it easier. This game can be very easy if you understand which equipment suits your playing style. There are a lot of different possibilities to go through - so perhaps that is why you find it so difficult. It really is a game of learning and that is why the “fanboys” as you call them like it so much! It’s a highbrow game! But there are plenty of guides on this forum to assist with working out what best works with you. Have fun.

Because this is not an opinion, it’s a hate wish… and this is some kind of attack to the game and devs.
If you check most of the topics, I am telling my harsh opinions for the game here and there. Many topics are already about discussing wrong things in this game. But we just don’t prepare some popcorn and wait. We talk about solutions… even our solutions are not match as we are different people…
Still nobody pitchforks others. Did you even think why? What is difference with your “telling opinions” and others?
If you can’t see the differences, there is nothing to do…

I don’t think this is the case for this forum. It mainly depends on the tone of the criticism. There are a lot of negative reviews on this forum that don’t get harsh responses afterward, as long as the review is in the form of personal feedback without immediately blaming anyone or offending the developers, the entire game studio, or even, worst of all, other players.
That’s the difference between constructive and not, independent of a negative or positive feedback. At least for me personally.
Formulations in the form “they are too stupid for that anyway” like to trigger other players. Me too, but I try to stay out of such shitstorms as much as possible (I can’t always hold back, as you can see here in the thread). Leading something like this into constructive discussions is usually just a waste of time. Answers on the same level even more …

As a already 1 years old game, I don’t think people will blindly buy the game… It’s not a lame sports game… so people who got their keys will tell their reviews already.
I don’t want to break your dreams but no, this game won’t be a full negative… with the patches until launch, with all DLC’s together… I don’t even think it will go lower then positive… maybe mixed but even mixed is given mostly the game got some big problems…

I just took the time to read through the steam forums and I came across a few that suggested we should stay clear of these forums as they were infested with fan boys. Well, haha, you have proved them to be correct.
Say what you like about the steam forums but at least the raving fan-boys are kept in their place.
I know your not interested in anything but slagging people off, but I will tell you that after curing the game from resetting my computer I have been playing PP , new start, and so far so good. Maybe I will end up liking the game, maybe one day I will post saying how the game is now fantastic. Then of course you lot will come back with ‘no it’s not, stop trolling’

I don’t get it actually. Difficulty isn’t an issue anymore (it used to be an issue once, but at least few months ago). Some people have impression that “Easy” every mission should be doable without any issues. That is not true for any game from this genre as far as I know. You will lose some missions, you will lose some soldiers, you will lose equipment. What makes the campaign Easy is that consequences of losing are not that harsh and easy to manage damage done.
And I am saying this as a person who is not happy with current game design and doesn’t play the game anymore. I may not like the game (for different reasons), but at least I understand why it is done this way. If you’re perfectionist and don’t find “losing a battle, but winning the war” approach enjoyable, the game might not be designed for you. And that’s perfectly fine, the game doesn’t have to be.
But, if it is such a big issue for you and others, maybe an idea of split difficulty (like Strategical: Hard, Tactical: Easy) is something worth posting here https://feedback.phoenixpoint.info . Feel free.
We got rights to be fan boys as you can be a hate boy… now please take your own advise and stay away from these forums and from the game too… Nobody needs your liking for this game. We don’t care. Have some courage to say Bye and leave.

I disliked the Epic exclusivity and dropping Linux support, but looking at it back now,
its good. Steam release will be quite mature, purchased cheapest version for Epic and got 1 DLC free, not bad at all. I dislike Epic store overall, but one has to compromise.
Neither a company can fulfill all wishes, neither it has to. But looking and how feedback tool works I am in the end amazed they did a lot from user input / evolution system and many fixes that made game way way better from initial release.
So I tend to look at what is good, and live with what is bad, try to propose how to fix it and if it passes, its good. If it doesnt - hey it their child I am just a consumer.
I liked Fireaxis ressurected the genre, even I disliked oversimplification, even Xcom 2 backstory *not the engine.
On EA … I remember their glory days from 8 bit and Amiga days 1983/1999 when they really did magic and sports, then early PC era until 2007. Likewise with Sega now, what can one do, sometimes brand are recycled and quality drops. Like Nokia downfall and fake resurrection in phone world. So dont always be nostalgic, look at qualities of each game.
So I find PP as most decent “Laser Squad X Com” brainchild, not just by having Jullian around, but by overall postapocaliptic setting backstory and execution and strategic engine.
Kind of alien drop to fallout and mad max 
wise choice!
