First of all, I love the flame thrower. It feels great to double flame someone.
I tried to use it behind partial cover. At first, it didn’t lock on. I pixel hunted around for a bit until the enemy flashed as targeted. I hit the flame button and my character animated but no flame came out. I was behind partial cover he was also behind full cover.
