Just checking is this on purpose to give us a mechanism to put out a fire? because its a handy thing if youre happy to burn a grenade or spider drone or something.
But maybe it’s a bug, just pointing it out. 
Also a great way to get rid of mist and goo.
As a firefighter for some 30 years. I know as a fact that explosives have been used to fight fires for many many years
They are used to remove fuel. even in the immediate local environment bare earth stops a fire.
They are VERY CAREFULLY used and unlike hollywood… their is very little fire MUCH more flying earth

It is not a bug. It is intended feature.
Explosives clear fire, goo and mist.
Goo clears fire (not sure about the mist).
