What's the point of the LoA resource sites?

Agree :100:% with your entire post. But I’ll add another 25% to that, for the ones I quote you on.  :+1: :fist_right: :heavy_heart_exclamation: :fist_left:

  1. Yes indeed. The Probes are an annoyance to me. Especially considering, at least in the Real World, that Archeology is what is used to ferret out things long since past. That would be the Antediluvian Sites. Ergo, as with Research, we should build more Archeology Labs.
I’d like to see an Adjacency Bonus tacked on to Labs too.

  2. While I love the concept. The Completist/Realist in me wonders where the Soldiers will be getting resupplied from, and R&R if Assaulted every day. :open_mouth: In my imagination, the supplies could be cached in a Store at the Dig Site, Forge, Lapidary, etc. Peace through Superior Firepower FTW!

  3. See 2 above, regarding the Soldier. I can no way imagine a solitary soldier fending off an attack a day. They’d have to be like Super Janitors in the old D&D Miniatures games I use to DM. :open_mouth: I can’t see a solo soldier not getting whacked viciously, without some cheats at least. But that (cheats) would kind of nix the way the game was designed to be played anyway.
I’ll add that with the 24 Hour Alarm/Notification, the player can, and should have at least 3 Ready Assault Teams made, and ready to deploy on notice. Works fine for me

  4. Yes indeed, getting Materials to Deploy a Guardian should not be a problem, once the player has the mining sites and forges running. I’m still puzzled about the Lapidary sites though. What is their function, other than to gut rocks, and make gems? Also, why do they not need an Aircraft/Soldier on site, to keep them supplied and working?
Guardians are tough as Elephant Hide. But not impossible to be beaten down to spare parts, by a concerted assault. Absolutely must have those Response Teams to help it out. Would like to know how Guardians are healed/repaired too. Is it some mechanic aspect of the Sites? Or perhaps they just do that Nanite Repair thing, so often abused in Sci-Fi films?

  5. Blue Prints could, and should be tied to the Research & Archeology trees. IMO&E at least. It makes sense you would get the mission for them, from one of, or both, the Research and Archeology Labs together. It would be a tidy way to justify having the Labs, and how advanced gear are come by to be manufactured.

  6. Absolutely agree to at least double, or even triple the cost for Legendary Weapons to be built. Makes them that much more valuable to not get damaged, or lost on the field of battle.
Ah … Speaking of the Field of Battle. I can’t understand why is it that after a victory, we cannot automatically retrieve what the enemy has dropped?

Okay, If you have read my long winded reply this far. You deserve an extra Snack & Beverage of choice.  :fist_right: :clinking_glasses: :fist_left:
