Should you start the game baseless?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want PP to be a story-driven adventure game, too, but some nice tutorial or even first few story-driven missions would let for some nice immersion and make us more motivated toward achieving goals. Proper opening usually make sense only in first playthrough, nevertheless it’s very important (as important as is the first hour of any game). PP is made to be very replayable game so tutorial should be skippable, obviously. Still, it shouldn’t be overlooked.
And I agree there are many other ways of telling the story, I already like various events which are doing that in a successful and interesting manner, but I had rather meant the opening of the game, something to hook up with, get motivated by from the very beginning. Especially when we are talking about a game with already interesting, established story and characters - I don’t want to have those being fully detached from the game.
