So my rookie soldier just took a shot at an Arthron, with an Ares rifle, using two explosive barrels as cover. The inevitable happened, and they exploded in his face.
He then went into an infinite loop of a grenade throwing animation, which I have captured and preserved for your perusal here:
I had to force quit the game.
