I just had this happen to me.
Two tritons were on the floor just under my heavy, so he couldn’t aim at them.
He basically just let a grenade drop on the floor next to them, thinking the floor would hold.
It didn’t and I was surprised to see that the heavy still had the grenade.
One of the enemies was in the adjacent square to where I landed, the other was two squares away, with a one-square box in between us.
