There was a funny game help tip. “You should carry a pistol, in case one of your hands is disabled.”
One problem: Only Snipers and Berserkers are trained in how to use Pistols. There is some consistently weird logic being used for mechanics like this.
I suggest making all classes proficient with pistols, as they are a common backup weapon which any warfighter should be familiar with.
