Missing inventory since last patch

No oneā€™s over-reacting here. Itā€™s not an unreasonable expectation to be able to play the game you payed for when it has been ā€œofficiallyā€ released, or ā€œgone goldā€ if it was still in beta, it should say somewhere itā€™s in beta still. No where on the store page does it say ā€œearly releaseā€ or ā€œbetaā€.

You set certain expectations when you release your game, this habit of releasing ā€œbetaā€ games is a bad one and not an industry standard unless youā€™re pushing a shady product.

If I had know this was a ā€œbetaā€ and not the gold release of the game, Iā€™d have not bought it.

No, their behavior in this patch was inexcusable when weighed accordingly against the usual industry standards. Iā€™m glad the game-breaking bug is fixed, but the lack of communication, the lack of proper Q&A doesnā€™t earn them an ā€˜atta boyā€™ from me. They performed poorly and I hope there was enough backlash that they wonā€™t make the same mistake again.

We communicated the bug as soon as we were aware of it. We also stated that we were working on a fix and not to overwrite your save games. We also communicated immediately when the patch was ready and deployed.

I didnā€™t notice the stash bug and had multiple bases without storage facility.

I couldnā€™t check yet if captures are still lost.

EDIT: To go around the captures problem, use them right after the capture, research or resource.

You can launch the game directly from the PhoenixPointWin64.exe file where the game is stored on your drive. This will prevent the Epic Launcher from running (thus avoiding updates). When you want an update run the Epic Launcher.

Just discovered that one can turn off auto-update per game in the Epic Launcher - Settings ā†’ Manage Games

You can also backup the game and get it back after an update to play the previous version without the launcher.

Yes, I came to the forum and saw the statement on top, which said that you had done all 3 of those things (found the problem, were working on it and warned not to save the game) and then the post in this thread re-statting you were working on it.

I havenā€™t seen a statement up top saying itā€™s been resolved or anywhere in this thread was resolved. I saw Neir post about the patch though.

I didnā€™t say you provided no communication, but a lack of it. Considering the game was down from the time it was patched on Friday until sometime in the early hours of Sunday morning and the only post we got about it was already covered in the initial warning, I donā€™t believe there was adequate communication about the whole thing.

Obviously, YMMV.

A post was made on this forum the second the patch went live. Itā€™s sticked globally, and appears at the top of every forum category and appears at the top of the latests posts. It was also posted on the Facebook page and in the Facebook group, on our Twitter, on the subreddit and announced in our Discord server.

Yes but they seem disappear. I suspect thereā€™s a change, when you do a research with the body it is removed now, but thereā€™s a bug where it is also removed until the research is finished.

Yep, the forums are where I saw the global message. Because that is where I go to get my information, not 3rd party, social media sites or Discord.

Itā€™s good to know that the second it went live, a post was made. Thought that doesnā€™t address the even bigger issue of why such a show-stopping bug made it through to live and why it wasnā€™t rolled back rather than leaving users hanging in the dark and in the wind until Sunday morning.

I wasnā€™t the only user coming here looking for information and not finding any and posting about it.

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree and move on.

Just encountered this bug also, GREAT game btw and this is the only bug I noticed. Thanks developers for making such a great product! seriously, thank you for your hard work Keep at it!

Ok NOW its game breaking, Just lost a mission because I couldnā€™t select items from slot to heal/ switch to sniper rifleā€¦ Enough already yo, fix it!
