Change Clarity Head - No defending from Mind Control

Give other pshycic power to Clarity Head but no defending from mind control.

That turns Mindfraggers harmless, and Sirens lost their main power…
Mind Control is always difficult for player and cause intensity ingame, with Clarity Head removing that power of the Pandoras the game become much easier… and you can always have a priest to protect your team in late game.

Unless I’m missing something, Clarity doesn’t defend against Mind Control, whether from Mindfraggers or Sirens (and Mindfraggers don’t care about your will at all). It just reduces willpower lost from Psychic Scream.

Also, the wiki says that the Clarity module is bugged and doesn’t currently do anything, although I don’t know how up to date that is. My feeling is that the main reason Sirens become less dangerous late game is because you start getting weapons that can headshot the Sirens before they get to do anything.

Also also, I don’t think “bring a priest” is an acceptable substitute - not everyone is going to ally with Anu early on (it took me a while to even find their Havens). Clarity gives everyone an answer to psychic attacks, and it’s not that powerful considering where it is on the tech tree (you have to capture a Siren).

The Clarity Helmet Module here Modules - wiki.phoenixpoint.com, atmo, is as useful against psychic attacks as a tin foil hat is in rl :slightly_smiling_face:

Ah, I haven’t really played around with Bionics yet.

When I was fighting against Pure most of them had Clarity Heads and that made the fight challenging, because none of my Priests could mind control them.
I kinda liked that challenge. Please, don’t take it away from them))

As far as I know Priests don’t defend against Mind Control.
In fact, Berserks get the perk with Mind Control immunity.

Also AFAIK, the Prists Psychic Ward only protects from get panicked, it even doesn’t reduce WP loss from Psychic Scream what it should IMO. The skill seems to be somewhat broken and useless at the moment.

Well, I don’t think group protection from panic is useless. Not when there is Scylla running around the map releasing huge clouds of Mist each turn))

You are right, but maintain it only for Pure ;). And for priests you are right again, thank you.

The main point is that player can’t defend from mind control turning some enemys harmless and keeping tension ingame.

To tell you the truth I’ve never tried using Clarity Head for my soldiers.
Firstly, because I don’t like head augmentations/mutations because soldiers loose their portraits/voices with them. Secondly, because I think there are other better options. Thirdly, because augmentations are expensive to repair.
As for Clarity Helmet Module I preferred other modules that improve detection for your soldier (even when I didn’t know that this module was broken).
