Hello Julian & other team,

My name is Ivan Bushman. I'm the head of russian-speaking X-COM series fan community (we call ourselves XCOMrades). In our public group in russian social network VKontakte there is more then 6500+ active members. I аlso made a nice site XCOMrades.ru. In common life I am an editor-in-chef in news portal and a fiction writer.

Your upcoming game Phoenix Point is a real sensation for russian-speaking fans. I wrote several articles about it and each one was met with great attention and interest. Many of us have funded your campaign on Fig and all of us believe in you and your team. I played UFO Defense in 1994 and I know you can make totally outstanding games.

But as I see, at present moment Phoenix Point still doesn't support russian translation. This may be a real trouble for most part of russian fans.

In this regard I offer you help in russian translation of Phoenix Point. Me and my crew have relevant experience in this. For example, we translated the whole novel XCOM2: Resurrection and many XCOM 2 mods.

In case of your interest, please let me know.

Hi,

I have passed this post onto Julian. We're at a very early stage of development at the moment, so it is likely to be some time before we start to look at localisation (you want to have all of the English stuff in first before having it translated). However, we did use crowd sourced translation for Russian on our previous title, Chaos Reborn.

Hey Ivan Bushman,

Thanks for your offer of help. I am aware that there are many XCOM fans in Russia, and a Russian localisation of Phoenix Point is definitely a very high priority for us. At some point we may ask for help with localisation - but this is a little way in the future.
